Jessica Friess is the founder and visionary behind ZYWA Tech AG, a consultancy specializing in industrial
water treatment solutions. With a solid background in environmental sustainability, renewable energy,
and business strategy, Jessica has built a career dedicated to transforming the way industries approach
water management and sustainability practices.
Drawing on extensive experience in developing innovative gasification technologies and leading major
international projects in Europe and Asia, Jessica brings a deep understanding of industrial processes
and their environmental impact. Her expertise was further honed through a master’s thesis focused on
European industrial wastewater treatment and future trends, positioning Jessica as an expert in the
interaction of economic and energy challenges of industrial wastewater treatment requirements.

Jochen Kallenberg has a technical degree in chemical and pharmaceutical production and a higher
degree in marketing. He has 25 years extensive experience in the water & wastewater treatment
industry working for global leading membrane and mineral technology companies such as Toray
Industries, Inge Membranes and Omya International working in different technical, sales & marketing
and global business development roles.
Throughout his career he gained in depth knowledge and is recognized expert in the fields of reverse
osmosis desalination, micro- and ultrafiltration membranes, media filtration, as well as coagulation &
flocculation processes.
Jochen Kallenberg is board member and treasurer of the European Desalination Society (EDS) and
Water Positive Think Tank (WPTT) Member, which unites over 60 global experts to define strategic
goals and solutions that address and resolve local, regional, and international water sustainability
challenges.
